Can Boquet: Top 5 Problems for Beginners

Can Boquet is a beautiful bouldering area near Barcelona.
It’s awesome, because it has a short approach, and several problems for all grades with good landing.

Getting to Can Boquet: This link will take you to the parking lot. From there this link will take you to the Clàssic sector.
– Follow the existing trails and do not cross any field
– Be respectful with the environment

*In order from first to last on approach

1Dit del cofre 3+

Upon seeing the first boulders, go down to the right and you’ll find this isolated rock. It is a classic warmup boulder.
Starting from the jug you have a powerful move and then a technical but easy mantle. Careful with the tree! The video below shows the sit start version.

2 – Visitants 5

To the left of Dit del cofre, Visitants is a unique technical problem that, once you figure out the moves, it’s not as difficult as it seems. Have fun with this one!

3 – Rampas invertidas 4

When you first encounter the boulders of the area you’ll see this slab to your left upon some other boulders.
This one is a footwork tester to get a hold of what a slab is outdoors. Have patience and work on your feet while you give a break to your arms.
To go down this boulder you can jump to the other boulder and go down the ramp carefully.

4 – El bola 4+

You’ll find this one going down and slightly right from Rampas invertidas, search for the big boulder you see on the video.
El bola is a series of big good pebbles featuring a powerful climbing style. The landing is a bit sketchy so be sure to bring at least two crashpads.

5 – The roof 4+

From El bola continue down to the left.
The roof is a classic and a must-visit. A fun traverse with good holds that ends in a technical mantle. You will learn to use use heel in this one. The 4+ exits with a mantle in the middle, the video shows the extended version that continues all the way to the other side.
